In concert with
its mission to identify, recommend and facilitate initiatives in
the use of technology to transform neighborhoods, improve the quality
of life, education and economic development in the City of Philadelphia,
the Mayor's Commission on Technology (MCOT) has launched a monthly
webcast program, "Philadelphia's Got IT."
Goals:

a vehicle that will promote Philadelphia as a city in-sync
with
the Digital Age. |

Showcase
City partnerships that promote education, e-workforce and economic
development |

Showcase
High Tech Regional relationships, assets, resources and partnerships
with Business, Government and Community. |

make program available to the entire Philadelphia community
through multiple distribution channels. |
Show Description:
"Philadelphia's
Got IT" is designed to inform, educate, and showcase
business, government, and community partnerships.
The show
provides information on City collaborations that:

Develop
and sustain an e-Workforce. |

Create
a bridge between the Digital Divide and Digital Opportunity
to enable residents to compete in the Digital Age. |
|
Stimulate
Economic Development by supporting existing businesses and attracting
new businesses to the Philadelphia Region. |
"Philadelphia's
Got IT" is produced for mcot.phila.gov and www.phila.gov,
on a monthly basis, and has been placed "on-demand (24/7)"
utilizing both websites for an initial
12-month, 12-show period.
