The Mayor's Commission on Technology (MCOT) is charged with:

Advising the Mayor and City Council on policies and actions related to the use and impact of information and other technologies in the City of Philadelphia and the region, and |
2. |
Identifying, recommending and facilitating initiatives that use technology to transform neighborhoods, improve education and training, workforce development and economic development, and overall quality of life standards. |
MCOT serves as a catalyst, advisor and information clearinghouse to enable government, businesses, organizations and citizens in the city and region to take full advantage of the convergence of new technologies that are reshaping the way we live and work. MCOT will research and report on any technology issue it deems important and provide recommendations, as appropriate, in the following areas to promote economic growth:
